However, canned products from China are unsafe overall. The cans/solder contain dangerous levels of LEAD. Lead has been proven to significantly diminish brain function, especially in children, as well as lowering the consumer's actual intelligence. This is not an empty claim: Google it for yourself.
One of the most egregious violators of lead contamination is BUMBLE BEE. Tellingly, the company makes it impossible to contact them to lodge a protest. ANY company that requires the consumer to jump through preposterous hoops in order to initiate contact is a wildly-waving red flag. There is no reason whatsoever not to provide a simple email link - that is, for companies that are NOT trying to discourage customer communication. The amount of codes, dates and numbers that BUMBLE BEE requires in order to initiate contact is absurd, and as I predicted, when their form is complete as to their highly detailed specs, you get an ERROR message.
The insanity of companies having contempt for their own customers goes without saying, and in BUMBLE BEE's case is just part and parcel of their culture of disrespect and disregard, especially when it comes to food safety.
Food safety and cleanliness is paramount to not only your fitness success, but to your overall health and well being.
YouTube has a large number of videos from China revealing some of the horrible conditions and chemical additives to noodles, baby formula, vegetables and meats. A search is well worth your time if you are presently buying food imported from China.
